European film festival comes to Iran

A series of films from Europe have been selected to screen at a film museum in the Iranian capital city of Tehran.

The Film Museum of Iran has scheduled to host a festival of European films during a five-day program, which is scheduled to open on Tuesday.

A lineup of short and feature films hailing from the European countries Greece, Bulgaria, Germany, Poland, Denmark, the Netherlands, Austria and Hungary will be screened at the upcoming event.

The event has been organized in collaboration with the Embassy of Austria, the European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC) and the Iranian Youth Cinema Society (IYCS).

The news follows the appointment of documentarian Alireza Qasemkhan as the new director of the Film Museum of Iran.

The series of European movies will be shown at the museum from October 31 - November 4.
